Daniel Zovatto
Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, International IDEA"Daniel Zovatto’s research and work focuses on the design, negotiation and supervision of technical assistance and political advisory programs in issues related to democratic governance and development, electoral reform, financing and internal democracy of political parties, strengthening of democratic institutions, and constitutional, political and electoral reforms. His work also focuses on negotiating and managing financial resources with donor agencies, and organizing and coordinating national and regional meetings on democracy and development, politics and elections in the Latin America region. Zovatto’s previous work experience includes working as Associate Director at the Inter-American Institute for Human Rights (IIDH), and as Executive Director at Center for Electoral Assistance and Promotion (CAPEL) Special program of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights. Zovatto has received the following scholarships, awards and distinctions: Nonresident Senior Fellow in the Brookings’ Foreign Policy Program. Academic Correspondent to the National Academy of Moral and Political Sciences of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
