Sergio Abreu
Secretary General, Latin American Integration Association (ALADI)Sergio Abreu holds a D0octor of Law and Social Science degree from the University of the Republic of Uruguay. He also holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, from the Southwestern Legal Foundation, Texas University, and The Hague Academy of International Law. He has been a Visiting Professor at various European and Latin American universities. Director of Administration and Finance of ALADI (Latin American Integration Association) 1979-1989; Vice President of the United Nations General Assembly (1993); Chairman of the GATT Negotiations Committee at the ministerial level (Uruguay Round, 1993-1994); Senator (1990-1995); Minister of Foreign Affairs (1993/1995); Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines (2000-2002). Senator (2005-2010).
