Robert McCrie
Professor of Security Management, John Jay College of Criminal JusticeRobert McCrie, PhD, is professor of security management at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, The City University of New York. He is former chair or deputy chair of two departments. McCrie was trained as an urban historian, specializing in criminal justice. His research concerns how cities experience increases in crime and what can cause crime to diminish from earlier levels. Currently he is completing a book on prisons with a low recidivism rate.
