Professor of Journalism, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Venezuela and Spain). PhD in Discourse Analysis from the Complutense University of Madrid, in 2006. Professor of Journalism at the Faculty of Information Sciences, UCM, since 2010. Academic and scientific emphasis: analysis, language and transparency in discourse, journalistic communication and emerging technologies, political communication and social networks; without putting aside the current and transversal trend found in artificial intelligence studied from the perspective of the impact it generates in journalism and how it is used to combat disinformation created by fake news and hoaxes. Research currently being worked on: The impact of AI on Journalistic Practice: The Case of NewsGPT and Qualitative Analysis of the Use of the Conciliation Function in the Speeches of Sánchez and Feijóo during the Government Control Sessions. The most recent publication is: OSINT and Forensic Analysis to Combat Hoaxes, Dykinson, 2023.
