Mario Baez
Economist, former UN staff memberMario Baez is a specialist in Agroeconomics and Campaign Management in Latin America. A native of the Dominican Republic, Baez holds a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo and two master’s degrees, one in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University and another in Elections and Campaign Management from Fordham University in New York City. He has multiple graduate certificates in Agrobusiness, Strategic Communication and Marketing from institutions in the United States and Chile. Baez has years of experiences working at the United Nations in the areas of program management for the National Planning Office of the Dominican Republic and at the United States Agency for International Development. At the United Nations Baez has worked as Junior Program Officer, Budget Officer and Director of Planning and Operations for the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and has field experience at offices in Santiago, Chile as well as Mexico City, Mexico. Currently, Baez serves as the Chief of Policy and Oversight Coordination Service at the UN Department of Management.
